New guest stall Smorgas Tarta – Smörgås Tårta is the Swedish food equivalent of Liberace.
Smörgås Tårta is eaten at celebrations, such as Midsummer, birthdays, Christenings and more. The basic idea is to make a huge sandwich, cover it with more filling and decorate it, then cut it like a cake and eat it by the slice. These cakes are meant to be served instead of a meal, the portions are large and filling.
Smorgås Tårta also make Swedish meatball meals portioned and ready for the microwave or conventional heating.
Our meatballs are made with pork, beef, egg , bread crumbs, double cream, salt, white pepper and then fried in butter……The mash, we boil our potatoes in milk instead of water and then mashed with tons of butter, salt and pepper. The sauce we make from the meatball pan scrapings, beef stock, whipping cream, salt, white pepper and dark soya sauce……
